INFORMATION FOR COACHES AND ATHLETES

NOTE:
    1) A warm-up area for all athletes is available in the North/Upper Field beside the marshaling area.

    3) Field athletes will meet at the east end and track at the west end.

•    No coaches, parents or fans can accompany athletes into the Athlete Control Centre.

•    Once an athlete has entered the Athlete Control Center, he/she may not leave.

•    For track events, athletes must check in no earlier than 30 minutes prior to their event and no later than 20 minutes prior to their event. Athletes will be walked onto the track 10 to 15 minutes prior to the start of their race.

•    For field events, athletes should check in 45 minutes prior to the start of their event, except for pole vault competitors who must check in 75 minutes prior to their event.  Athletes will be walked out 30 minutes prior to the start of their event, except pole vault competitors who will go out 60 minutes prior.

•    If an athlete is not present when his section is called, he/she will not be allowed to compete.  Athletes should know the exact time of their event beforehand.

•    If an athlete needs medical attention once inside the ACC, an attendant/therapist will be called.

•    Any taping (i.e. ankles) must be done before entering the ACC.

•    Once inside the ACC, an athlete may speak with her coach over the fences as long as it does not interfere with another athlete’s concentration.  There really is no need for a coach to be talking to his athlete at this time.  The covered area is a quiet zone.

•    NO portable radio/tape/cd/mp3 players are allowed in the Athlete Control Centre.

•    Athletes must show their school name somewhere on their top.

•    Singlets must be identical for the relays. No excuses will be accepted.
